If you want to keep your original mechanical rear brake after purchasing a Cannonball Starter and have installed an original 2-1 exhaust system, you need this extended crossover shaft. It is longer than the original crossover shaft and allows free operation of the brake lever, which otherwise rests against the exhaust system.
